Kanye West has Bought His Childhood Home following Rhymefest Debacle

by HHL JT

Kanye West, who just became Hip Hop's second billionaire, has made a huge purchase that barely cost him any of his net worth.

Ye has bought his childhood home in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood for $225K.

West's mom Donda bought the home in the 80s, and then sold it 2004.

Then the home's history gets quite complicated.  It appears that Kanye first bought the home in 2011 and made it the headquarters of a charity aimed at helping help the city's at-risk youth. He named it Donda House, after his late mother, and put his long time friend Rhymefest in charge of the charity.

By 2018, the house had fallen into dilapidation, leading to a falling out between Kanye West and Rhymefest.

@Drake when G.O.O.D. Music sends the money they owe you, will you please help us rebuild Kanye’s mothers house for the youth of Chicago. I spoke to Kanye about it. His response was “fuck the youth of Chicago”

The home entered into foreclosure and now Ye has bought it again.

So, congrats, we guess.
