Juvenile Explains How He Really Feels About Kendrick Lamar After Super Bowl Criticism

by Daryl Nelson

Juvenile was one of the first people to voice his frustration about Kendrick Lamar being picked to play the Super Bowl halftime show and not Lil Wayne.

On Monday, the "Ha" rapper stopped by L.A.'s Power 106 with Mannie Fresh and was asked if he'd join Kendrick on stage if Kendrick asked him.

"Kendrick is one of the best performers we’ve ever seen," said Juvenile. "He’s top notch, especially in Hip Hop. In the Hip Hop world, he raises the bar. So it’s something that everybody want to see, and if he calls I’m there. No problem ... Kendrick is that dude."

He continued. "I never threw shade on Kendrick not one time because I don’t live my life like that. I don’t like to tear somebody else down. I feel like Wayne was campaigning for that spot, you know? He came out months ahead of time. I’m like, if he asking for it, at least consider him. Give him a call or something."

Juvenile said he doesn't have a problem with Jay-Z either, who's responsible for picking the halftime act.

His issue is mainly with the NFL for having the game in his hometown of New Orleans and not doing more for the locals.
