The buzzing documentary Framing Britney Spears presents Justin Timberlake as a villain who demonized Britney to launch his solo career.
There's been pressure on Timberlake to apologize, and today he did.
He also said sorry to Janet Jackson, who bore the backlash brunt of their 2004 Super Bowl halftime performance during which he pulled off her top.
“I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed,” Timberlake wrote on Friday. “I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves better and most importantly, because this is a larger conversation that I wholeheartedly want to be a part of and grow from.”
Should he have apologized?
