Future announced earlier this year that he's done sipping the Dirty Sprite he made famous.
But Future can't take back the influence his bars about lean had on the children.
He learned that first hand when he met Juice WRLD, whom he would later collaborate on the joint tape Future & Juice WRLD Present...WRLD on Drugs.
Juice explains what went down in his new feature in Billboard.
"In the studio, Juice told Future his music had inspired him to experiment with lean as a teen, a revelation that disturbed the elder rapper. 'Oh, yeah. I think I broke his heart a little bit.'"
Future has admitted he was reluctant to tell anyone he was done with lean because he had become so associated with it.
"I didn't want to tell nobody I stopped drinking lean," he told Rob Markman. "Because then they're going to be like 'his music changed because he ain't drinking lean no more. I can hear it when he changed it" ... it just be hard when your fans are used to you a certain type of way. You're afraid to change."
