Juelz Santana has turned himself in two days after a gun was found in his carry-on bag at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey.
As we previously reported, the Dipset rapper fled the scene in a taxi Friday evening when the weapon was found. He left the gun behind, as well as his driver's license, so he was easy to identify. It turns out that Juelz had a two-shot .38 Derringer pistol in his bag.
He surrendered at 1:00 a.m. this morning. He's now been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance. Juelz was also booked on an unrelated federal warrant, but there are no details as to what the warrant stems from.
Juelz was on his way to a show at The Grand Nightclub in San Francisco when the gun was found. The promoter of the show blasted Juelz for trying to sneak a firearm on a plane.
"It's 2018. I don't know how he thought that would be okay," the promoter said.
What do you think will happen to Juelz and his career from here?
