Joyner Lucas Is No Longer On Atlantic Records

by HHL JT

Joyner Lucas has been on a really good run. His track "I'm Not Racist" was a viral sensation. He worked with (and gained praise from) his hero Eminem. Then he capped the year off with a couple of Grammy noms and a highly entertaining rap battle with Tory Lanez.

And now ... he's off his major label.

Lucas jumped on Twitter to announce he's parted ways with Atlantic Records.

The face of a 2x Grammy nominated, platinum selling, stress free rich nigga. did I forget to say I’m now 100% Independant?. which means im no longer signed to ATLANTIC 🙏🏽 great record label and great people so it’s always love. I just wanted to be back on my Independant wave ❤️ pic.twitter.com/1B6ytPgIty

Lucas dropped one commercial mixtape, 508-507-2209, with Atlantic. His upcoming debut album ADHD will be released independently.

You think that's the right move for Lucas?
