Joyner Lucas Explains Why He Was Jealous Of Logic

by Daryl Nelson

Joyner Lucas and Logic may be cool with each other now, but they were beefing for years before that.

Joyner once called Logic "a corny guy" after the DMV rapper delivered his verse on Tech N9ne's track "Sriracha," which Joyner is also featured on. Joyner also went at Logic lyrically in the past, like on his "Look Alive" remix.

Logic was then accused of dissing the Massachusetts spitter on "Yuck," off his Bobby Tarantino II tape.

On Wednesday, Dec. 2, Joyner was a guest The Breakfast Club and spoke about his past beef with the now retired-rapper and gave an admission. [Jump to 38:23 mark]

"I think I was jealous of him," Joyner admitted. "But I think the reason why I say that, though, is because I felt like where he was at at the time is where I wanted to be so much."

The "I'm Not Racist" rapper then explained how he and Logic squashed their beef.

"I had called that man because I had an epiphany," he said. "I had got to a certain place, in which people started expecting things of me. And people started expecting that I just do sh*t. People that I didn't really know like that. And I lost a lot of people and it clicked. I said everything that I accused this guy of or I was [jealous] of, it's happening to me. I know how it feels and it sucks."

Did you suspect that Joyner was jealous of Logic when they were beefing?
