John Legend Retracts Support Of Kanye West's Grammy Behavior

There haven't been a lot folks defending Kanye West since he said Beck should “respect artistry" and give his Best Album Grammy to Beyonce.

One of them was seemingly John Legend, who told US Weekly after the award show that his GOOD Music boss was being "funny" and people should "lighten up."

Legend clarified those comments last night. He explained that he was simply referring to Kanye faking like he was going to interrupt Beck's speech -- like he had done to Taylor Swift in 2009. According to Legend, when he first spoke to US Weekly he hadn't heard West's post-Grammy comments in which 'Ye derided the artistry of Beck, one of the most respected popular musicians of the last 30 years.
