Joe Budden isn't afraid of being critical of his old Slaughterhouse boss Eminem.
But he did pause when his podcast partners Mal and Rory tried to get him to mock Eminem's pause-worthy first bars of 2019, which came on Boggie's track "Rainy Days."
“I left my legacy hurt? F*ckin’ absurd / Like a shepherd havin’ sex with his sheep, f*ck what you heard," Em raps.
Rory and Mal pointed out the irony of speaking about your wounded legacy and then following that up with what in their opinion was a very awkward punchline.
Joe tried to avoid the discussion, jokingly bringing up current events like the government shutdown.
But Joe got lost in laughter when discussing the next line, which goes "All this talk in my ear, I got a idea/ Like the clerk when you tryna buy beer (ID ya)."
You can hear the gang discuss Eminem at about the three-minute mark. What do you think of Shady's bars, clever or too close to dad-jokes?
