Joe Budden Speaks On His Problem With Eminem & Breakup With Everyday Struggle

by HHL JT

Joe Budden's new show State of the Culture kicks off on Revolt on September 10.

Last year, Budden left his old show Everybody Struggle abruptly. In an interview this morning with The Breakfast Club, Joe conceded money was ultimately an issue in his leaving but explained that it was non-monetary factors that initially soured him on the show.

"Creative difference. I think that the idea what it would be going in and what it ended up being at the end were just real different. I thought it would be a bit more mature," Joe said.

Does he watch Everyday Struggle after he left?

"No. I'll check out it out when I want to hear something that maybe [DJ Akadamiks] gotta say. But that's not very often."

He also discussed his issues with his old buddy Eminem, whose album Recovery he was critical of. According to Budden, his big issue was Em taking on racial issues in his track "Untouchable".

"I have a problem with artists who latch on to big movements when you trying to sell a record. Like we don't hear you speak about these things when you're not trying to sell a record. That's not specific to Em."

CTG pushed back on that, saying that Trump's presidency makes these unique times, and that may have been why Shady and others have spoken up.
