It's been a struggle for Everyday Struggle ever since Joe Budden left Complex's morning talk show.
Budden was replaced by New York radio vet Star in January. But Star's hot takes and antics didn't take like Budden's had and nobody was talking about the show anymore.
Now Star is out.
"I requested a release from my agreement a while ago. I requested a release. I didn’t quit. I’m not a quitter, but I requested a release and today (May 3), I finally got it,” Star said with a laugh. “So, let me say thank you to Complex. Thank you so much. Listen, I’m just busy, I got moves to make, I appreciate everybody that I work with over there. The wonderful, wonderful staff, the production, the PAs, everyone getting up bright and early in the fucking morning. Thank you."
Star went on to say that there was no malice in his heart and reiterated that he initiated the release.
"I'm choosing my words carefully," he explained. "My wish was granted, I'll just say that."
Everyday Struggle hasn't had a new episode since March 29. But moderator Nadeska insists the show will continue, and will presumably still include DJ Akademiks.
Also, Everyday Struggle will be back everyone, chillll. Sending me threats when the show’s ON, sending me threats when the show’s OFF lol. can’t win with ya’ll
