Joe Budden Explains Why A$AP Rocky Isn't A Music Star

A$AP Rocky has been pretty good about getting headlines over the last five years. Increasingly, they have nothing to do with music.

Rapper turned hot-take pundit Joe Budden has noticed this and argued on his podcast that Rocky is no longer a music star.


 

"Ya'll haven't talked about A$AP Rocky music in ions ... Not just you guys, there's a large group of people that have not said anything about A$AP Rocky's music in quite some time. Since, probably, "F*cking Problems ... He's not a star in music. He's a star in this culture, a bright one, a big one," Budden argued.


His podcast host Mal pushed back on that and suggested that Rocky could sell out Madison Square Garden by himself. Budden laughed and said that he couldn't.
