Jay Z's nephew Nahziah Carter is getting some shine this week because of his play on the basketball court.
Carter, the nation's 328th ranked high school baller, threw down a pretty intense dunk on Marvin Begley III, who's the nation's top-ranked player, during a Nike Elite Youth Basketball circuit game.

Now here's an interesting fact about Nahziah's dad Eli that anyone who's heard the track 'You Must Love Me' knows: Hov once shot his older brother.
"Got intense real intense as we got older/ Never believed it would lead to me poppin' one in your shoulder," Hov raps in the 1997 track.Eli survived the bullet. In an interview with Bleacher Report, Nahziah reveals that it's all a joke now.
B/R: In songs and interviews, Jay Z has claimed that he shot your dad when he was 12. Have you heard that story in your family? NC: My father tells me some great stories from when they were growing up, and so does my grandma, but they don’t really talk about that one too much. My dad did something and they fought, but we don’t talk about it. My brothers and my sisters all know. Honestly, we usually laugh about it. I don’t know why, but we find it kind of funny. I mean, Jay Z shot our dad. That’s pretty crazy.
