During Kanye's interview with Drink Champs, he claimed Just Blaze copied his work on JAY-Z's legendary album The Blueprint, on which they both provided production.
JAY-Z has heard parts of the interview. While he thinks most of is just Kanye being Kanye, he objected to Ye's words about Just Blaze.
[Instagram post not found]"Everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone sees things through their own lens," Hov said on Clubhouse. "Some if could be true some could not be true. So you're just speaking through your truth ... Maybe the Just Blaze thing was a bit unfair. Cause if you're creating an album, and the assignment is soul samples, everyone is coming with soul. You're trying to make a cohesive piece of music. I don't think anyone was copying. Everyone created for the project. I think it's something we all should be proud of, and everyone should be praised for their contribution ... We all had an assignment and we all created a body of work."
