JAY Z is nominated for eight Grammy Awards this year, including Album of The Year.
Kendrick Lamar (7 noms), Bruno Mars (6), Childish Gambino (5), SZA (5) and Cardi B (2) will all be performing on the Grammy stage Sunday night. Hov won't, but it's not because he wasn't asked.
According to Hits Daily Double, JAY-Z turned down an offer to do the award show.
Hov is just coming off of his 4:44 tour, so he could be ready to go if he had wanted to.
No word on why he decided not to take mic on primetime TV.
The Grammys will air this Sunday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
