JAY-Z had a busy couple of weeks, selling a 50 percent stake in his champagne company Armand de Brignac and then the "significant majority" of his streaming company TIDAL.
We know he got $297 million in cash and stocks for TIDAL and Forbes is estimating he took in $320 million for Armand.
Forbes is also estimating his net worth is now $1.4 billion, making him the richest in the rap game.
JAY's assets include $425 million in cash and investments, including shares of Uber, Sweetgreen, Ethos, and SpaceX. His Roc Nation imprint is valued at $140 million and his cognac brand D’Usse at $120 million. $95 million for his music catalog, his art collection is at $70 million and he has $50 million in real estate.
DJ Akademiks would say a made a good chunk of his fortune "baiting and switching" Black people by claiming "Black-owned business" and then selling to the white man when the time was right.
However he made it, there's a lot of it.
