When JAY-Z looks back on his bars it's mostly with pride.
“I'm not beyond ego, right? Hopefully, they speak of me [with] the names of Bob Marley and all the greats. But that's not for me to say," he said in an interview with The Sunday Times, adding that when he reads most of his old bars they are "really profound."
But there is one big exception. Hov is not a fan of what he rapped on 'Big Pimpin', which was one of his biggest hits.
"That’s the exception," he said of 'Big Pimpin'. "It was like, I can’t believe I said that. And kept saying it. What kind of animal would say this sort of thing? Reading it is really harsh.”
"You know I thug 'em, f*ck 'em, love 'em, leave 'em
‘Cause I don't f*ckin' need 'em
Take 'em out the hood, keep 'em lookin' good
But I don't f*ckin' feed 'em
First time they fuss I'm breezin'
Talkin' about, "What's the reasons?"
I'm a pimp in every sense of the word
Bitch, better trust and believe 'em
In the cut where I keep 'em
'Til I need a nut, 'til I need to beat the guts
Then it's "beep beep" and I'm pickin' them up
Let 'em play with the dick in the truck
Many chicks wanna put Jigga's fists in cuffs
Divorce him and split his bucks
Just because you got good head," Hov raps on the classic track.
We'd imagine it's not Beyonce's favorite, either.
