Jay-Z and Pharrell Have a New Song Coming Out

by Daryl Nelson

Jay-Z and Pharrell have a new song coming out on Friday called "Entrepreneur."

The cut will be released as part of a new Time magazine issue that was curated by Pharrell titled The New American Revolution.

The issue centers on the history of systemic racism that black people have faced and there's interviews with  Tyler, the Creator, Angela Davis, Naomi Osaka and others.

I couldn’t be more grateful to curate “The Next American Revolution”—a special issue of @TIME Magazine that envisions a Black Future in an America where all people are actually created equal.https://t.co/nLYgIOU7xo pic.twitter.com/AkL8NioD5f

"The intention for a song was all about how tough it is to be an entrepreneur in our country to begin with," Pharrell said about The Neptunes produced-cut, while speaking to Time. "Especially as someone of color, there’s a lot of systemic disadvantages and purposeful blockages. How can you get a fire started, or even the hope of an ember to start a fire, when you’re starting at disadvantages with regards to health care, education, and representation?"

As for Hov, Juvenile said that he wanted Lil Wanye to battle him in a Verzuz competition earlier this week. That was about a week after Kanye West sent a message that said he missed Jay.

Does the release of "Entrepreneur" have you excited?

Update:  Here's a preview of the track.  On it, Hov preaches Black economic reliance and has words for Black Twitter:

"Black Twitter, what’s that? When Jack gets paid, do you? / “For every one Gucci, support two FUBUs.” - Hov
