Last week, we learned that Jamie Foxx had been hospitalized in Atlanta on April 12 after a serious undisclosed medical incident.
Now we know just how serious it was.
Foxx collapsed after suffering a stroke while filming the movie Back In Action.
He had to be revived and if there hadn't been medical personnel on set he would have likely died.
“Jamie suffered a serious medical episode and needed immediate attention. It was touch and go for days with him, and he had to be revived — he is very lucky to be alive," the source told Radar Online. “He’s very lucky he got the treatment he did. Jamie suffers from high blood pressure, which doctors say can cause clots in the brain, leading to a stroke. Doctors believe this was a long time coming, and really, if they hadn’t acted fast, Jamie might well have been a goner.”
Foxx remains hospitalized but is said to be "awake and alert."
