James Harden has made it clear he wants to be traded out of Houston, with Brooklyn or perhaps Philly as his preferred targets.
According to Rich Bucher, it's not so much because Harden wants to join up with Kevin Durant or Joel Embiid.
Bucher reports that Harden is furious over Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta's outward support of President Trump and that he's not the only one.
"What I heard is -- and we know how much politics and political position had to do with the boycott and protests during the bubble -- I'm hearing that Tilman Fertitta’s strong Republican support and donations is one of the things that is contributing to this dissatisfaction [among players and staff.] "Bucher said on the Odd Couple podcast. "There is a revolt here because they look at Fertitta as a guy who supports the current President."
The Rockets' other superstar Russell Westbrook has also requested a trade, the team just traded 3 and D stud Robert Covington, and their famed GM Daryl Morey quit last month.
Fertitta, who bought the Rockets in 2017 for $2.2 billion, is known to be quiet tight with Trump.
