The Lox had a good run under Puff Daddy and Bad Boy.
However, by 1999 the trio no longer believed the label was a creative fit for their hardcore image and wanted out. They tried to get their lawyers on the case, and "Free The Lox" t-shirts became a thing.
As Jadakiss explains, it wasn't until Styles P pulled an old WWE move on their boss that everyone decided it was best to end the relationship.
"When Styles threw the chair at Puff," Kiss told HipHopDX. "I ain't sure, but that was probably the last straw for that. Prior to that we was conversations amongst the group and things of that nature, but after that little incident happened, I think that's when we decided to part ways."
Do you think The Lox made the right move when they forced their way out of Bad Boy?
