Update:  It turns out it was Jackboy's brother, not Jackboy, who was shot.

Jackboy got up early this morning.

And he took some bullets.

Police say the Sniper Gang rapper was shot at 6:57 AM in the driveway of his home in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

The assailant got off several rounds and escaped in a car of unknown make and model in what is said to be a targeted attack.

Jackboy, 26, was airlifted to Lanwood Hospital and is in serious condition.

There is currently a heavy police presence around the crime scene.

Jackboy was recently accused of beating up his female artist.
