Jack Harlow Says He Feels Constrained In Hip Hop

Jack Harlow appears in the remake of White Men Can’t Jump, which will be released on Hulu Friday, May 19.

While sitting down for a Q&A in New York, the rapper said that he feels more liberated in the acting world than he does in Hip Hop.

“I tell the truth on the mic, but maybe sometimes I feel some slight constraints in Hip Hop because there’s a tradition to it, and I know I’m a guest in the genre,” he said, according to People. “There’s things that go through your head from time to time. But with acting I feel liberated to some degree — I feel like I could show up and I could be whoever I want to be today. I don’t know, I feel freedom.”

In related news, Harlow released his album Jackman last month, which has gotten a lot of online praise, so he responded to it on Twitter.

"2 weeks have passed and I just wanna say the love & respect I’ve felt from not only my peers… but from YALL…the fans…the folks that have supported me from the beginning…it feels f*ckin amazing… I have never felt so connected to the people listening to my music…thank you," he tweeted this week.
