Ja Rule's kids told the rapper they're worried about him organizing another festival after the infamous Fyre Festival debacle.
Ja, of course, along with jailed scammer Billy McFarland, created the Fyre Festival in 2017 and it went all the way wrong. There was hardly any food on the remote island it was to take place on, hardly any places to stay and booked talent dropped out at the last second.
But on the show Growing Up Hip Hop: New York, the rapper told his kids Jeff and Brittney that he's moving forward with a new festival anyway.
"I'm nervous about my dad recreating another festival," said Brittney. "It does make my heart drop to my stomach. I feel like it could get very messy very quickly, and it can go really bad."
Jeff said that people at school were showing him memes of the Fyre Festival when it happened, and Brittney is concerned her rep will be ruined by another botched event. But Ja gave them some advice on how to handle all the teasing.
"I will say this: You can't always control in life what happens," he explained. "You can control how you react to it, and the outcome of that. We here, we doing [what] the f*ck we doing. Iconic Fest here we come baby!"
Why do you think Ja would put on another festival after he took such a beating for Fyre?
