J. Cole Does 'Be Free' With New Verse About Obama On 'David Letterman'

J. Cole was booked on The Late Show With David Letterman last night so he could plug his album 2014 Forest Hills Drive. But he ended up doing 'Be Free,' a song he released this summer as a tribute to Michael Brown, but wasn't on the album. Check it out.

Last night, Cole added another emotional verse to the song, which talked about President Obama and his failed promise of change.

“No disrespect, in terms of change, I haven’t seen any/ Maybe he had good intentions but was stifled but the system and was sad to learn he actually couldn't bring any/ That’s what I get for thinkin’/ This world is fair, they let a brother steer the ship and never told him that the ship was sinkin’," Cole raps.
