Pusha T has taken credit for writing McDonald's ubiquitous "I'm Lovin' It" jingle.
"I am solely responsible for the 'I'm Lovin' It' swag and the jingle of that company. That's just real. I am the reason," Push claimed.
When Push switched sides in the fast food wars this week and dropped a McDonald's dissing rap for Arby's there was speculation that Push was sore because he only got 500K for his work for Micky D's.
500K would be plenty because it looks like Push didn't really write the jingle.
The American "I'm Lovin' it" jingle is based on a German ad for McDonald's that aired before the Justin Timberlake sung version you know appeared.
While Push's Virginia Beach bro Pharrell has a co-writing credit on the American version, along with producers who came up with the original "Ich Liebe es" jingle, Push is nowhere to be found.
The only thing that connects Push to the jingle is a version of the ad in which Push raps.
But that's far from the only use of the jingle in America.
