It Looks Like The Weeknd Has Changed His Name

The Weeknd may no longer be The Weeknd.

If you go to the Twitter page of the 33-year-old Canadian you will now see his birthname, Abel Tesfaye.

Earlier this year, Abel suggested he was going to kill The Weeknd after more than a decade of service.

“It’s getting to a place and a time where I’m getting ready to close the Weeknd chapter,” Abel told W mag earlier this year.. “I’ll still make music, maybe as Abel, maybe as The Weeknd. But I still want to kill The Weeknd,” he said. And I will. Eventually. I’m definitely trying to shed that skin and be reborn.”
