Kanye West recently went wild on Drake on Twitter.
Ye expressed displeasure over the way Drizzy handled the Pusha T situation and continued to complain about how Drake wounded his spirit by suggesting he nailed his famous wife, Kim Kardashian.
But Charlamagne Tha God, who's close with Ye, believes the "beef" is all about checks over stripes. He explained why -- and also explained why he thinks Kanye is hiding behind his mental health issues -- during an interview with Trevor Noah.
"But when [Kanye] gets into a rap feud with Drake, the only way [he] can combat Drake in any way, shape or form is to weaponize mental health and say that Drake bullies people with mental health issues based off a couple bars Drake gave Kid Cudi, who suffers from mental health, and now Drake, you know, coming at Kanye West.
To me, it has nothing to do with mental health," he continued. "This is about sneakers. It's the fact that Drake is affecting your sneaker sales. Because in the biggest song of the year, which is 'Sicko Mode,' Drake says 'Checks over stripes.'"
