DJ Khaled has built a brand on defying "they."
We all thought "they" was just a rhetorical bogyman. But there may be more to it.
In Rick Ross's Birdman bashing track 'Idols Become Rivals' he raps about Baby doing DJ Khaled (who used to be on Cash Money) dirty:
And what hurt me the most, nigga Is how you did my brother Khaled, nigga Khaled was loyal to you, nigga The pain I seen in my brother's eye, nigga FaceTimin' my nigga, nigga, he took that to the chin, nigga That's why my nigga blessed That's why my nigga Khaled blessed You put my nigga in the hole, homie I don't feel you for that, my nigga That shit hurt me, you under-dig? UhHmm. Does that mean ...
When Rick Ross discloses who Dj Khaled is referring to as "they" and it's been Birdman this whole time pic.twitter.com/uOwlsB0skU So when Khaled refers to "They" he's talking about Birdman, Baby, and Stunna???? When you realize the "They" Khaled is talking about is Birdman pic.twitter.com/fbY8lBnzwJ This whole time when Dj Khaled said "THEY" he was actually talking about Birdman pic.twitter.com/RTBTcwMcF9
Probably not. But hating on Birdman never goes out of style.
