Whether he talked about their relationship on Drink Champs or on BET's new docuseries The Murder Inc. Story, Irv Gotti has turned talking about Ashanti into a part-time job.
People like Fat Joe ripped him for it and so did everyday social media users.
Irv explained why he keeps going on about the singer during an interview with The Shade Room and said it's because other people keep mentioning her.
“Cause that’s why. You askin’ me. Did I bring Ashanti up? You did it," he stated. "Here’s what I’m going to say. I wish Ashanti nothing but the best. I’m not hooked on her, like I can’t get over her. It’s none of that sh*t ... I got paid to do a documentary on my life and on Murder Inc. If I didn’t talk about Ashanti you would have been like what kind of bitch is this that he didn’t speak about her. She’s too important to Murder Inc. and this life. They tried to #MeToo me. You know what the f*ck they said. Stop it Shade Room. You the shadiest ones.”
"It’s gonna be no comment from here on in," Irv promised. “But I felt like at least I'm trying to make y’all understand. Moving forward, it will be limited interviews and a lot of no comments. I tell the truth 'cause I want the people to know the real. But honestly, y’all don’t give a f*ck about the truth."
Do you think Irv can really keep himself from opening up about Ashanti? Meanwhile, she hasn't spoken about him at all or even acknowledged the alleged relationship.
