Iman Shumpert is officially a Brooklyn Net, ending his extended free agency. The terms of the deal haven't been disclosed. He confirmed the news Wednesday on Instagram.
"I worked my ass off in empty gyms all summer and thru the beginning of the season," wrote Shumpert. "You see, character is who you are when no one is watching and while no one cares. ILoveThisGame. I appreciate this new opportunity....I told y’all I’m around. Let’s get to work @brooklynnets."
Being on the Nets is sort of a coming home party for Shumpert since he began his career with the New York Knicks in 2011. He had the most success in his professional career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, helping them win an NBA championship in 2016.
Do you think the Nets are a good fit for Shumpert, and why do you think they didn't go with Carmelo Anthony instead?
