ILoveMakonnen says his label is no longer paying him any attention, and he's asked for assistance.
"I be needing help too," he tweeted on Monday. "I need help explaining to my record label why I’m culturally important to music and need full support and clearances to drop 3 projects this year, because obviously they not listening to me. First one suppose to drop March! The f--k is really good. Can the internet save me please? I have given so much to so many talents in all forms in the art. I need y’all to band together and save me cus artist wise I’m dying. Ilovemakonnen is a classic f---ing musical act being jailed."
Makonnen he's been on the scene as much since he came out as gay a while back and moved to Portland, Ore. He's talked about receiving backlash for coming out. Quavo, for example, was accused of being homophobic for saying "The world is a f--ked up place" for supporting the "Tuesday" artist.
