Along with GloRilla, Ice Spice has been 2022's break out female rapper with her cut "Munch (Feelin’ U)."

The Bronx artist then dropped her EP Like..? on January 20.

Some have truly gravitated to her music since "Munch" has over 26 million views on YouTube. Others, however, including Drake, said that Ice is a subpar rapper.

For the record, she only started rapping a year before "Munch" dropped.

Either way, Ice talked about how she started writing rhymes during an interview with The New York Times and said that she would listen to songs by people like Pop Smoke, then figure out how to make their catchiest lines into social media captions.

“I like to hear catchy stuff and I always be thinking like, 'Damn, what should I caption this?' So I just started coming up with mad captions," she explained.

Ice also talked about wanting to be more of a pop artist going forward.

“For me personally, I think I have passed that,” she said about making drill music. “I do want to be a mainstream artist. I want diamond records and plaques and Grammys. So I think in order to get that, you do have to surpass just one subgenre."

Have you listened to her EP yet? If so, please give us your thoughts.
