Hurricane Chris was arrested for second-degree murder and illegal possession of stolen things last week. He hasn't responded to the charges until now.

Chris, born Christopher Dooley, is accused of shooting and killing Danzeria O. Farris Jr. in Shreveport, Louisiana on June 19.

The "A Bay Bay" rapper said he was acting in self-defense after Farris tried to steal his car, a claim that's been rejected by police. Footage shows that Chris may not have acted in self-defense, and the car he said was nearly stolen doesn't belong to him. It was actually stolen from Texas already.

Chris is currently out on a $500,000 bond. He addressed the charges in a video that was posted on Thursday.

"Hello, world. Hello, world. Hello, world. I'm sure you got the news by now," he began. "I was involved in a very unfortunate incident on Friday morning. A very unfortunate incident. I want to thank everybody who's been praying for the family of the deceased and everybody who's been praying for my family. After a good thorough investigation, my name will be cleared. Let God work. Watch God work. God bless. Thank you."

What do you think Chris' fate will be?
