Hit-Boy Denies There Was Anything Subliminal About Pusha T/Quentin Miller Collaboration

Eyebrows were raised when Quentin Miller and Pusha T were both features on the new Hit-Boy track 'Bussin Moves.'

Of course, you know Miller's name because Meek "exposed" him as Drake's ghostwriter. And Pusha's been a long-time Drizzy rival.

But Hit-Boy just took to the lyrics site Genius to assure everyone that there was nothing subliminal about the pairing.

This Pusha verse is actually from the original 'Clique,' by Jay Z, Kanye and Big Sean that I produced. It was supposed to be on 'Clique,' so this verse is three-years-old, but it’s fucking ridiculous, flawless bars. Jus the flow and the way he’s in the pocket and the attitude about it. I threw the Pusha verse on that motherfucka, then wrote the hook to it and then I did my verse. I felt like “Bussin’ Moves” was just a concept that made sense for how Pusha set it off.

Way before the Drake shit, we were already connecting. We had already made a bunch of records with his WDNG CRSHRS group and I had made some solo stuff for him and we just been building. He recorded this a couple of months ago, he probably did it end of June or mid-June. He recorded it for sure before the whole Drake thing."
