Chris Brown was supposed to do a Michael Jackson tribute and performance at this year's AMAs.
But it was canceled at the last minute and Brown, who won for Favorite R&B Artist, skipped the AMAs altogether.
Dick Clark Productions, which puts on the awards show, explained why Brown got the late axe.
"Live shows change all the time. It’s the nature of the business; unfortunately, this element of the AMAs didn’t come together as we couldn’t align on the performance, to no fault of Chris Brown,” Dick Clark Production’s statement read.
Do you buy that? Or do you think they gave into the heat surrounding one controversial singer paying tribute to another?
