Eminem returned last night after a four-year hiatus with Revival.
His ninth album had leaked earlier in the week, and the initial reactions weren't that promising.
But perhaps his true Stans were waiting for the official drop because a scan of Twitter this morning found plenty of good reviews for the 19-track, highly-political project.
eminem really said "your booty is heavy duty like diarrhea" and people have the nerve to call him one the greatest rappers of all time

Finished #REVIVAL This album is one of Eminem's best. He mixes the playfulness of Shady w/ his maturity, thoughts on fame&being a father&the political-social status of the U.S. Addresses his history with depression&addiction. It is refreshing&relatable, empowering&emotional

Eminem in 2017: there’s 862 genders and if you disagree I’ll go on a bender might hit you with a fender, for the throne of hitler you might be the next contender

People hating on Eminem's #Revival album must have been born in the 2000s and jam out to Lil Pump and Lil Uzi Vert.

I'm not a hater. I'm just a Eminem fan since childhood who can no longer connect with one of his favorite rappers anymore..

#Revival examples of why Eminem is, arguably, the best lyricist ever.

1. I'm upscale now; guess it means I'm 'weigh' up in the sky.
2.I put you in your place like a realtor, boy; you still ain't in the building, boy.
3. My competition can't see me, cause I don't own a mirror.

Listening to Revival now. It’s not the old Em, and I was never expecting it to be. But I still like it and can appreciate his new style, as long as he’s happy making his music and I rate it then I’ll bump it. On Like Home so far 😌

I can respect Revival lyrically, but sonically the album is complete garbage.

Anyone stunting for this new Eminem album can’t have actually heard it. It may be his worst project yet. Some of the worst beats he’s ever used, and that is saying a lot.

Damn. Eminem said “I’m swimming in that Egyptian river because I’m in denial” in 2017. I’m not mad, just disappointed.

So I present a thread. I listened through #Revival and I've got to say.. I'm very disappointed. As an Eminem fan borderline Stan, I expected much more. I won't be talking about Walk On Water and Untouchable.. Just my general thoughts on the album

What do you think? Is Eminem still an A-List rapper?
