Lil Wayne's long-awaited album Carter V doesn't seem to be getting the mid-week projections jump that previous hit album's like Travis Scott's Astrowold and Eminem's Kamikaze did.
With 77 percent of the sales week complete, Hits Daily Double projects C5 will move 460-480k SPS with 135-145k of those in traditional album sales. That's right in the middle of its initial projections and will be the third biggest opening of the year, following Drake's Scorpion (732K) and Scott's Astroworld (537K). If it slips at the gate, it could fall behind Post Malone (461K) and Eminem (434K).
Carter V will finish the week number one the Billboard album chart, with Cher's album of ABBA covers second. Logic's Young Sinatra IV comes third with 145-155k SPS, 105-115k traditional and Kevin Gates's commercial mixtape Luca Brasi 3 is projected to land fourth with 73-78k, 18-20k.
