Lil Wayne's Carter V moved 473K SPS in its first week, with 140K of those in traditional sales.
That easily beat Logic's Young Sinatra IV, which finished in second place with 173 SPS streaming and 129K traditional.
As you can see, the race was rather close if you take streaming out of the equation. That's somewhat of a twist since older, legacy artist like Wayne tend to do better with traditional sales, whereas younger streaming-era artists like Logic usually post big numbers on Spotify, Apple Music and the rest.
The other big rap release last week was Kevin Gates's commercial mixtape Luca Brasi 3, which moved 71K SPS and 20K traditional.
The big new rap release to count this coming week will be T.I.'s Dime Trap.
