Guy Who Served Time With T.I. Discusses Tip In Prison & Getting Checked For Paperwork

by HHL JT

Ty from the Westside overlapped with T.I. during Tip's stint at the Forrest City, Arkansas federal facility.

There have long been questions about how T.I. got a ten-year federal gun sentence knocked down to one year in 2009 and about his behavior during the 2008 trial of Hosea Thomas, who killed a member of T.I.'s entourage.

However, from what Ty could gather, Tip's paperwork was in order.

"T.I. was cool. T.I. was chilling. He was laid back. He was doing like a regular inmate. Regular inmate get up, make your bed, go to breakfast, go to lunch. Walk the yard. Go to your job. Because you got to get a job ... I never saw nobody try to press to T.I."

Ty went on to say that he wouldn't know that much about T.I.'s precise paperwork situation because he was from Chicago and Tip was from Atlanta and the different cities handle their own.

But he did say that everybody had to show their paperwork when they come in, and it didn't look like T.I. had issues with the Atlanta inmates.

Ty's T.I.-relevant discussion comes at the one and eight-minute mark.
