Gucci Mane's Former Artists React After He Fires Almost Everyone From 1017

by HHL JT

Yesterday was a bloodbath at 1017.

Gucci Mane fired almost all his artists after acknowledging he was losing money on his label.

"It's a whole sh*t-show in the industry right now, but when I look at my P&L and me being a businessman, I think I might have to release almost all my artists except for Pooh Shiesty and then Foogiano," he said.  "This is a decision I didn't want to make.  I thought about it.  I can keep all of them under the contract.  But I say f*ck it let's just make the unselfish decision and let them take their talents elsewhere. I already reached out to all of artists and their lawyer."

Two of the fired rappers have weighed in.  Lil Jay viewed the firing as a blessing.

“Aye man, this is what I wanted. I ain’t tripping, I been talking bout this sh*t the last, past two, three days. I don’t give a flying f**k. N*ggas know what to do before the truth come out, n*ggas know,” Lil Jay said

BigDogWalk says it's no skin off his back.

“That was a business move for Wop on his behlaf. What make you think I’m suppose to lose after that? I’m already here",  he typed on IG Story.

As for Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano, who remain on the roster, they have yet to say anything, in part because they are both in the middle of five-year prison sentences.
