When it was recently suggested that Eminem was a GOAT, Gucci Mane said no way.
It turns out Gucci's issues with Shady go back some years. In an interview VladTV, Nick Cannon explained that when he was having his issues with Eminem, Gucci was quick to intervene.
"When me and Eminem so-called had the beef or whatever. The whole thing with Mariah. [Gucci Mane] was one of the first people who was like, 'hey bra, we can go handle it."
Vlad wondered if that meant physically or with bars.
"Gucci said we can go handle it," Nick repeated. "But all the way to the fact. Who was on the "Obsessed" record with Mariah? Gucci Mane. "Obsessed" was the diss record to Eminem. And Gucci, listen to his verse. If you listen to his verse he's talking that shit like, 'yo, it could happen.' Gucci's been about that smoke."
Nick went on to say he thinks Eminem is a talented rapper who elevated the game, but that nobody ever believed he was a tough guy or gangster.
