GLC, one of Kanye West's longtime friends from Chicago, said that he saw the rapper's breakdown coming a long time ago but there was nothing he could do to stop it.
GLC is talking about Ye going nuts last year and cancelling the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo Tour. GLC believes the death of Kanye's mom sent him on a long downward spiral.
“I wasn’t surprised,” he told Life & Style. “I saw it coming. [Kanye's mother dying put him in a] dark place ... I tried to rearrange his brain, but he tried to snap on me ... It’s like his body is there, but [not] his soul and his spirit ... It’s somewhere else.”GLC noticed the biggest change in his childhood friend during several interviews in 2016, namely when he sat down with Kris Jenner on her now-cancelled talk show.
“I knew he was losing it," he stated. I was like, ‘Who is this dude? Did they put a trance on him?’ I thought someone had him hypnotized."Do you think Kanye will ever return to his former self, before the breakdown?
