Future did a fascinating interview with France's CliqueTV this week.
In addition to speaking on his keys to happiness and how he stays sane on social media, he addressed the purple elephant in the room: His drug habit.
"Everyone thought I was high [when I made 'Monster']…there’s no drugs over here in London… there’s some, but I can’t find the ones I like, "Future explained. "I’m not like super drugged out or drug addict. My music may portray a certain kind of image and I know some people that might be super drugged out and they listen to the music like, 'Ay thank you, you speaking for me' and then some people thatss not [super drugged out] that feel like, "Man I don’t have to do drugs, I can listen to Future and feel like I’m on something’ and don’t have to try [drugs]."When asked why he puts so many drug reference into his bars, this is what he said.
"Yeah because I feel like that’s the number one thing everybody likes to talk about. It’s a catch."Are you buying Future's drug habit as a marketing ploy?
He starts talking drugs at about 24 minutes.
