After almost three decades in the business, Nas finally won a Grammy, taking Best Rap Album for King's Disease, his 13th album.
Nas's win meant a loss for Freddie Gibbs, whose album with the Alchemist, Alfredo, was also nominated.
Gangsta Gibbs took it all in stride and showed his comedian side when he was handed the defeat.
“Everybody, I got an announcement. Look, I might have lost today, but I’m undefeated in court," Gibbs said to much laughter.
