Freddie Gibbs hasn't had a very good relationship with his former boss Jeezy. In fact, a couple of years back Gibbs said if he ever ran into Jeezy again it would be on-site.
During Gibbs' stop on The Breakfast Club today, he clarified he wasn't really dissing Jeezy (or any other known rapper) with these bars on his new track "Crime Pays".
“And Roc, he done went and bought Jeezy a pair of new shoes, that n*gga was dick-sucking.”
CTG had taken those words as a shot against Jeezy, so Gibbs explained the story behind the bars.
“It was a show in Chicago and [Jeezy] wanted some Timbs to go with his outfit," Gibbs said, and explained he wasn't at the show because Jeezy didn't want to pay his way.
"But my homeboys were dick-ricking and they wanted to go to the show,” he continued. “I guess they standing there looking in awe at the nigga and [Jeezy] is like, ‘I need some shoes’ and he just used them to get some Timberlands and then they came back with the shoes, [Jeezy] was like, ‘These the wrong ones’ and just tossed them to his homeboy."
The next day Gibbs' homeboys asked him for $200 bucks for the money they wasted buying boots Jeezy didn't even want. Gibbs was pissed at Jeezy for being disrespectful and even more pissed at his homeboys -- who he doesn't mess with anymore -- for being dick riders.
"I felt like that was disrespectful to me. That was one of the straws that broke the camel's back," he explained.
