Lil Yachty must've been in a mood to drum up some controversy, because he spoke down on New York fashion styles.
Later, he heard from Fivio Foreign and Juelz Santana, who took issue with his words. [Jump to the 47:30-mark]
"I feel like New York didn’t have this, I don’t want to say identity, but everyone used to just kinda copy Atlanta," said Boat on his A Safe Place Podcast while talking to Bronx rapper Cash Cobain. "You said it yourself, even, like, the influence was extremely heavy from Atlanta."
"As far as style goes, I don’t think it’s sh*t going on when it comes to New York fashion," Yachty went on. "I feel just people on those outskirts, Queens, Bronx, do they even come to [Manhattan to buy clothes]?"
Juelz responded on Instagram.
