The Drake and Future project, What A Time To Be Alive is off to a successful start. Although not quit as successful as originally forecast.
HDD reports that the duo sold 340,000 units (379,000 if you included streams) in their first week. This is lower than initial projections which had the project going Gold (500K) in its first week.
Nevertheless, it's likely to reach that (increasingly) lofty distinction in a week or two. Drake's projects tend to keep selling well, and WATTBA could potentially even reach Platinum if the two decide to further promote with videos and even a tour.
On the flip side, Mac Miller is bringing in 78,000 copies (91K with streams) opening week for his third album, GO:OD AM. This is lower than both of his previous albums and a little disappointing since Mac signed to Warner Bros with the intentions of getting bigger.
