The first week numbers for DaBaby's fourth album Baby on Baby 2 were as bad as we thought.
HitsDailyDouble didn't have a projection this week for the surprise album, which usually means it didn't crack the top 20.
That turned out to be the case.
Baby on Baby 2 only did 17K in its first week, which will be 23rd on the Billboard album chart. DaBaby's last two albums Blame It On Baby and Kirk had done 124K and 145K first week, respectively, and opened number 1.
Folks like Boosie Badazz and Meek Mill had blamed DaBaby's poor sales on a blackball, perhaps initiated because of DaBaby's anti-gay remarks at Rolling Loud in 2021.
What do you think?
Blackball or no promo plus fall off?
