This morning, Fetty Wap plead guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute 500 grams of cocaine in federal court in Suffolk County, New York
The minimum sentence for that charge is five years. He could get up to 40.
Last year, the 31-year-old was arrested and charged with running a drug ring that trafficked more than 100 kilograms of cocaine and other drugs across Long Island, N.Y., and New Jersey.
“I agreed with other people to distribute cocaine,” he told Judge Steven I. Locke today.
Despite the plea, his lawyer Elizabeth Macedonio told reporters that her client isn't talking to the Feds.
"He’s not cooperating. I want that to be very, very clear," she said.
It was noted during the trial by the judge that Fetty didn't get a 5k letter, which requests a sentence below the guidelines based on substantial assistance by the defendant.
So he's going away for a while.
